The company intends to create 22 apartments at 64 Main St. and another 14 at 17 93rd St., with the housing expected to be ready as early as 2027.
Keene is set to gain 36 new apartments downtown, with units planned for two properties now under the control of Windham, N.H.-based PYK Investment Group, LLC. Developer Panayiotis Panourgias said the company intends to create 22 apartments at 64 Main St. and another 14 at 17 93rd St., with the housing expected to be ready as early as 2027.
Work has already started at 64 Main St., according to Panourgias, and the company is aiming to finish construction by the end of next year. The Main Street property, the former Monadnock Family Services building, was purchased earlier this month.
The building will continue to include Main Street Salon and Cherry Garden, both of which are expected to remain open during the renovation. Panourgias said the project will also include another retail space available for lease.
PYK also acquired the nearby 17 93rd St. property from Monadnock Family Services at the same time. Panourgias said that building will also be converted into apartments.
Monadnock Family Services relocated to 40 Avon St. in 2023 after buying the 85,000 square-foot Main Street building for $4.2 million from Antioch University New England in the summer of 2022, according to previous Sentinel reporting.
